Elbow Beach

Taken at the pool area of Elbow Beach Hotel. We're actually waiting for sunset but thanks to Bermuda's strange weather, this clear blue sky was soon replaced by dark thick clouds.

400 years

Oppps! May mali pala sa previous post, fireworks photos were actually taken last 3rd January during the celebration of Bermuda's 400th anniversary. Cancelled ang fireworks display last New Year's Eve dito sa isla dahil sa lakas ng hangin. Call it a memory lapse...hehh

Anyway, the island celebrate it's 400th anniversary last Jan. 3 and ito'y isa sa pinakamalaking event ngayong taon. It was year 1609 since the Sea Venture ship find it's way to Bermuda shores when it was hit by a storm and the rest is history.

It took almost an hour for us to find this spot just to get a good view away from the crowd.

6th and counting!

Unlike last year that we had a dinner sa isang hotel at ang daming giveaways. Ang bonus din namin ay kalahati nalang compared last year. Sounds disappointing but i understand them, mas mabuti nalang na ganun kaysa magtanggalan pa ng mga empleyado di ba?

We will have our own celebration nalang dito sa bahay. Malamang tagay dito tagay roon ang mangyari! heheh

Happy Holidays people!

Bermuda Short..the untold story

Are you familiar with bermuda shorts? Pag sinabing bermuda short, ang nasa isip ko dati is it's a knee length short na either khaki or dark colors.

But i got a shock of my life nung dumating ako dito, bermuda shorts is not just an ordinary shorts but totally different to what i perceived. It's a men's fashion here mostly worn during summer season by executives, office workers, govt. ministers etc. It is actually a formal wear for men.

This is the real bermuda shorts that i'm talking about!

The shorts is in different colors at pink ang isa sa pinaka popular na kulay. It is not complete without the knee length socks. Reminds me during my kindergarten days actually..lol

I wanted to try to wear this last summer pero mahina pa talaga ang loob ko.

This coming summer i'll try to wear this one, parang komportable kasi tingnan di ba?

Firework chaser

I'm now a certified addict...to fireworks photograhy! I took my first fireworks shots last October with my 2 buddies na mas addict pa sa akin.

Sand Sculpture 2008

Isa sa mga exciting beach events dito sa isla ay ang annual sand sculpture comptetion held at Horshoebay beach, the famous beach here in Bermuda. This happened last September which marks the end of summer season.
